The Institute of Regional Activities in Nógrád is an association of legal entities that, until now, have considered the social, economic and social development of borderless Nógrád, as well as the preservation of the intellectual and built heritage, to be the priority of their decades of professional and community work. With the establishment of the association, these intentions have united into a common force to carry forward in partnership and cooperation the European spirit in development programs, community events, investments, preparation and management of tenders, which strives to create a better life in the border region of historic Nógrád through sustainable development. to living citizens, regardless of nationality or race. We carry out all these activities with the existing human resources, technical background and many years of professional experience. We are currently establishing a Slovak-Hungarian association of the European Grouping for Territorial Cooperation (EGTC) of this region in order to be able to carry out our joint work even more effectively. In the past 10 years, we have implemented several applications, we have involved hundreds of young people in ERASMUS+ applications, and we have brokered sister settlement partnerships within Europe for the municipalities of the region. We actively implement cross-border Interreg HUSK projects, promoting the development of the region and the preservation of traditions.
